I've separated these into 3 major categories: dry, wet, and produce. All these ingredients can be purchased at your local Asian grocery store, and have included online links to my favorite brands as well, so you can get them delivered. Included is a list of produce items that you will find handy to always have stocked; this became the de facto top of my weekly grocery list. 

 

 Wet Pantry/ Refrigerator Items 

  1. Sesame oil 

  2. Black sesame oil 

  3. Light soy sauce

  4. Dark soy sauce

  5. Black bean garlic sauce 

  6. Shaoxing wine

  7. Rice wine; mirin or michi   

  8. Oyster sauce 

  9. Fish sauce

Dry Pantry Items 

  1. Rice

  2. Rolled oats 

  3. White pepper

  4. Black pepper 

  5. Chicken powder 

  6. Cornstarch 

  7. Toasted white sesame seeds

  8. Bean thread noodles 

  9. Microwavable bowls of rice; I became a huge fan of these during my sister’s postpartum. Sometimes you just need rice ASAP. This is the one I prefer.

  6. Neck pork bones for soup; I typically use neck bones and keep 2lbs pre-blanched in my freezer to throw into my pressure cooker
